MAL WELLINGTON, this year’s Winner of the Jim Bremner Memorial Trophy and the title of 2025 Golfer of the Year

The Jim Bremner Memorial Trophy is a silver tankard (which stays in the Club House) and is the prop to be used when employing the ‘please buy me a beer’ privilege.

As per the published competition conditions……..

Mal will have the right, over the period from Opening to Closing Day next year, 2026, to ask politely and respectfully, any MALE club member of legal drinking age present in the lounge upstairs in the Clubhouse, the Ambrose Café, to buy him a pint of beer from the bar – Only a beer, only a pint (or less).
Most IMPORTANTLY,
He can only ask one person on any one day and only ask a person once over the above timespan.
If he asks the same person more than once and that person bought him a beer when asked on a previous occasion, then Mal must apologise profusely and buy HIM a beer !
