WOMEN’S WEEKEND COMPETITIONS

 

MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS:

The Matchplay Championships will be played from a ‘seeded’ draw. There will be two divisions based on handicap index at the time of the draw.

Silver:  Up to 18.4              Bronze: From 18.5

All rounds except the Finals will be played over 18 holes on one specified day.  Finals for all divisions will be over 36 holes.

 STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS:

36 holes Strokeplay played on specified days in Silver and Bronze Divisions.  Gross and Net Medal.

AUSTAD CUP: An Eclectic competition played in conjunction with L.G.U. Medal rounds.

BRAYSHAY TROPHY: Two Rounds of Four Ball Better Ball Stableford. Full playing members only.  Draw to be made for partners.  Draw for playing fours to be made for each Stableford round.  Stableford scores to be noted after each round.

DOROTHY PALMER TROPHY: Two rounds Stroke Play on handicap.

DUNCAN VASE: Sunday Eclectic.  Bronze division.

GORDON TRAY: Saturday Eclectic.  All handicaps.

H.P. STABLEFORD: Trophy for best three cards on Home Pennants days.

FAY JONES TROPHY:  Best Stableford over 18 holes Midweek & Weekend.

LEDSHAM SALVER: Sunday Eclectic.  Silver Division.

LIL PARKIN CUP: Stableford – Murray Halberg Trust Day.

NATIONAL TEAMS EVENT:  Medal Round, Best 4 Nett scores from Weekend and Midweek play in the Provincial Final.

NANCY MacCORMICK FOURSOMES: 36 holes Foursomes NZ Home Links Event.

LIL PARKIN TROPHY: Stableford, to be played on Waitangi Day, 6th February.

SESQUI TROPHY: Putting played on L.G.U. days. Four best total rounds.

SUMMER TRAYS: Qualify in 3 divisions then match play on handicap.

TOMMY STROUD TROPHY: Four Ball Match Play on handicap.  Draw for partners and opponents.  Exact division will be advised.  Winners of Weekend and Midweek sections play off for the trophy.

ECLECTICS: With the exception of match play, 18 holes must be played before eclectics can be counted.  In match play, if a match has finished, eclectics can be counted without completing the course.  When the daily competition is two rounds eclectics can be scored on both rounds.

Summer and weekend Eclectics and Austad Cup are all less half handicap.

Summer Eclectics can be submitted any day between Closing and Opening Day.

CONDITIONS OF PLAY:

To participate in managed competitions, players must be on the tee no later
than 1.00 p.m. The Committee reserves the right to change any condition of competition prior to the start of play.
