Ade Waddell Memorial competition
The Match Committee is looking to reinstate the above competition this year if we can get sufficient entry numbers.
This is a Matchplay competition based on the following structure:
Four-Ball, Better-Ball match play on handicap
Each pair to be one Senior (0-14), one Junior (15-36) based on course handicap.
Players on a handicap of 25 or over must play a maximum handicap of 24 in this event.
Matches are to be played from tees of the day, with participants using the correct course handicap for those tees.
The competition will comprise a maximum of 16 pairs initially with the competition played over 4 knockout rounds.
This year we intend to run it on "play by date" basis to allow the maximum flexibility to entrants. Matches can be held on any day acceptable to the respective pairs up to & including the play by date. First round to be played by 29/8/21, the next two "play by" dates fortnightly thereafter, with the final to be played on Sunday, 17th October. If you want to enter please advise the office & let them know who your playing partner will be. There will also be an entry sheet posted outside the shop. If you are keen to play but don’t have an immediate playing partner please let us know & we will endeavour to pair you with someone.

Levin Golf Course
Steve Parkin joined Levin Golf Club late last year and enjoyed several rounds of golf on our course before his untimely death in June. Steve was passionate about his golf and was known for his involvement with the NZ Vets. The tournament, organised by Steve’s widow Eileen, was one of his final wishes, that his golfing buddies at Levin, his former club Wainuiomata and the NZ Vets enjoy a round of golf in his memory.
Competition will be a stableford over 18 holes
