The last Roaring Forties Week 10 was won by 37 Hugh Cheevers $100, ( If Hugh wins this again he has asked that I don’t put his name in, as his wife reads the Blob, so when I write “that person who doesn’t want his wife to know” you will all know that I am referring to HUGH CHEEVERS) also Di Do and Mike Burrowes won $50.00 each. Thanks to all members that helped with this fundraising that went towards the painting of the Clubrooms.
It has been expressed by some members to run this again, 15 members have signed up again for another 10 weeks, I will touch base with everyone that has their allocated numbers already picked to see if they are keen ( or you can just let me know by e-mail ) – no pressure – if there are any outstanding numbers I will then put the list of names and numbers out for other members to join. I will let you all know when and if it starts again. This fundraiser will pay for a concrete pad down from #18 for golfers to air hose grass off their shoes and etc.

On Sunday 3rd November all members will be playing for the Arthur Avis Trophy, the concept of this is Better Ball Stableford, mixed or non-mixed pairs playing in 1 competition, you arrange your own partners on the day, I will have a list for you to add your and your partners name, if you don’t staff will randomly select your partner on the day. The cost will be $2.50 each person. The winning pair will received a print of the course donated by the Arthur Avis Family, plus the money received is split between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
