Last draw this Saturday – thanks everyone for supporting this fundraiser, we have the new heat pump in the office and have been nice and warm in the winter months. Good Luck to everyone this Saturday!!!
Saturday’s start sheet has been adjusted for the predicted rain that we are going to get, #1 – #9 will be closed Friday and Saturday, this will be reviewed again for play on Sunday.
If NO RAIN like today #1 to #18 will be open on Saturday, day by day evaluation.
CARTS at the moment are okay to be used by club members only, but as usual consideration is to be applied. I would like to thank all members for patience on the cart issue, we know it has not been easy for some members that have to used carts and are unable to play golf, we are sick of the rain as much as you. But there again we have a great day like today and no-one on course.
The Men have the Hastwell and Pope cups to play for on Sunday they are both a Stableford competition. Hastwell Cup is for 15 to 36 handicap, with Pope Cup being a handicap up to 14.
On Sunday 17th September Men have Golfer of the Year round 8.
On Saturday 30th September we are hosting the Wellington Left-Handers Tournament.
In the Shop/Office we have a $5.00 raffle that was donated by the Left-Handers tournament, please do you best to support it by buying a ticket, 1st prize is a golf bag, 2nd and 3rd is a golf umbrella and cap. There is no $2.00 money raffles until these tickets are sold.
Please “SAVE THE DATE” Closing Day on the 10th December. It is going to be a GREEN-KEEPERS Equipment Fundraising day, plus a Christmas Closing Day and club trophy presentation for you all, there will BE NO recurring bookings that day, it will be a SHOTGUN start at 9.00am. The cost of the competition will be $10.00, there will be a cash pay- out with a light lunch included. There will be a CASH raffle for the day. In the Clubrooms we will have some good prizes for you all to participate in a quick fire raffle before lunch. Proceeds raised in the clubrooms will go towards the green-keepers equipment, they desperately need a new Extension Pole Saw which costs $1500.00.
Dave Sully is more than welcome to ideas about how to move the fallen tree only a few meters so it’s not leaning on the other trees, preferably at no cost to the club. Please send us an e-mail or contact Dave Direct.
