Morning everyone, light showers up here today.

AGM – Monday 5th December.

Well what a week!!!!! All Blacks lose, rightly so, they played terrible, better to lose to Ireland than Australia, they would never let us forget it. We now have a new American non politician (your fired) President – who would ever of thought TRUMP would of got in – life is full of surprises. I am so going to watch with interest how he is going to keep his 10 promises.

Winner of the Invicta Trophy which was best 2 rounds Stableford, 1st Dave Anderson 80, 2nd Kane Lloyd 70, 3rd Mick Dearmer 67. – congratulations

Sunday 13th November Men or Women will be able to pair up for the Arthur Avis Trophy – format is 4BBB Nett.

Sunday 20th November the Men will be challenging for the Pope (0 – 14 Handicap)/Hastwell (15-36 Handicap) Cups.

Saturday 26th November SHOOTOUT FINAL for Men and Women.

Sunday 27th November GOLFER OF THE YEAR FINAL – Who will it be???

There will be NO CARTS Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on the course, in the last two days we have had double rainfall for the whole month of November, the course is very wet, carts will slide around everywhere. I’m really sorry for any inconvenience, I realise a few members need carts to get around, but at the end of the day we are still OPEN after the rain we have had, some courses in the Wellington Region are closed.

The Weekend Women’s Results for best 10 of 90 rounds for Shootout to date are Kim Abrahams 377, Amie Clisby 375, Kerry Baines 348 to be played on Saturday 26th November.

The Mid Week winner of the Women’s Shootout was Robyn Smith – congratulations

This Sunday on the 13th November we have the Arthur Avis Trophy, this is a “Better Ball” Nett event to be played in pairs, in separate mixed and non -mixed competitions, Using your scores from your normal round of golf!. This has always been a fun event, remember if you have had a bad hole, all is not lost – your partner will (hopefully) save you!!

I have an entry sheet in the shop BEFORE you start your round, so you need to decide who in your group is going to be your partner in this competition, Pay your $5.00 entry fee for the event, you can also play in any of the shop comps of the day. When you finish your round make sure your partners name is on your card – staff and computer will do the rest!!

The Prize for the winning pair has normally been a picture of the course donated by Arthur Avis, when I phone him last year he had no more prints left. So depending on the amount we get in, the prize will be a voucher each for the winning pair and runner-up.

Golfer of the Year is on Sunday the 27th November – This is a NETT event, so no GIMMES!!!! Participants in this event can play in their own tee times, but any member that made the cut for this Club Event is more than welcome to play in the Lunch-time Group teeing off at 12.00pm.
