The BLOB – 22nd July 2016

Afternoon everyone, it will be a quick Blob today, internet has been down all morning so have a lot of work to catch up on.

Winner of the $50.00 this week was Chris Brooks and Andrew Curry.

Winners of the Roaring Forties on Saturday was Ross Braybrook 23 – $100, Ange & Jim Walsh 22 – $50.00, Paul MacDonald 24 –  $50.00 – congratulations to you all, Good Luck for this Saturday.

We still have Firewood for sale $80.00 a trailer, please contact Gina or office if wanting any.

For those who are going to be inside watching television this weeked we have the Senior Open Golf Championship on in Carnoustie, this is arguably the toughest of all the Open Championship venues.  It features a virtual who’s who of golf in recent decades.

Keep a look out for Greg Turner who has been showing form on the European Senior Tour after finishing 8th at the Winston Golf Senior Open.

On the European Challenge Tour we have Ryan Fox who will be defending his Le Vaudreuil Challenge title in France.  Ryan is playing awesome golf at the moment, not only has he made the final Olympic position, but he is also in contention to secure a full European Tour card for 2017.

This weekend we have Danny Lee and Tim Wilkinson fronting up for the Canadian Open.  There is only five events left to make the top 125, so the pressure is on Tim Wilkinson who is sitting at 127#, Danny Lee is in 64# place, but will certainly be looking at an improvement on his Open Championship disappointment.

Don’t forget the Hurricane’s and Warriors playing on Saturday – so can’t wait!!!!!!
