Afternoon everyone, just beautiful up here today, you should leave work and come up for a round.
Di comes back to work on Monday, so the office will be running full strength, special mention to Gail and Katy for being available every weekend to work for the past 2 months while she has been away. You both are AWESOME!!!
Has anyone found a Red Laser on the course??? If you do find it please hand it into the office, I’m sure the club member will shout you a beer!!!!
Winner of the $50.00 raffle was Iris Cottle.
At the moment we have 27 Men and 4 Ladies entered in the Shootout, if you have not entered let the staff know so your name can be added to the list when you pay your entry fee of $5.00
Thursday 17th March is St Patrick’s Day at Te Marua Golf Club, 9.30am Shotgun start, for Te Marua members the cost is $25.00 which covers a light meal plus prize giving, and lucky card draws, non- Te Marua members it is $40.00, you all get a can of guiness to start you off, I have an Entry form in the men’s and ladies locker rooms for you to register.
Very disappointing to have only 2 ladies register for the Summer Trays on this Sunday – this has now been cancelled.
Programme Books are now in the process of being printed. Hopefully we will have them next week.
Twilight golf has again started the teams are into their 3rd round, all participants are enjoying the competition, weather and meals very much.
Our Ladies Pennants team will be playing on Monday 15th February, they will be teeing off at 9.00am.
Friday 19th February we are hosting Victoria University at 12.00am, they will be playing an Ambrose, so the lunchtime group that comes up please come up a bit earlier to tee off before Victoria University start.
Thursday 25th February we are hosting the Evergreens, the course will be unavailable till the afternoon.
Monday 29th February to Friday the 4th March we are hosting the New Zealand Regional Army, the first three days they are playing 36 holes each day, the course will be unavailable till late afternoon, this would be a good time for you to use your bonus cards to play at Shandon or Judgeford, on the Thursday and Friday the Army will be playing 18 holes, they have no problems with Te Marua members playing around their competition on these days, I will open up a start sheet for the Thursday and Friday next week so you can check what is available as Army will be teeing off #1 and #10, the lunchtime group on Friday should be looking at teeing off at about 12.15pm, as cross over should be at about 11.30am depending on how fast they are, but after playing 5 days of golf they might be a bit tired and slow.
This Saturday we are hosting the Cossie at 10.00am, there are plenty of tee times available before and after they tee off.
Saturday 20th February we are hosting Interclub teams A3 and B1, Kane I have accommodated your group in the 7.30am time slot on the days we host Interclub teams, you will find the odd Saturday where we are using several tee starts I can’t put your group in, but there again you can use your bonus cards to play at Shandon or Judgeford.
I would like to thank all members for your patience over the past few months while Di has been away, I have enjoyed working during the week days to put names to faces of members I don’t normally see, and having full weekends off has been pretty awesome, getting paid the extra was awesome too, as I saved enough to book my flights to Perth for a month in April (so can’t wait!!!) Di when you come back on Monday BREATH and if you find any mistakes (which you probably will) just BREATH and work your way through it. We have missed you!!!
