Afternoon everyone, beautiful up here today.

I am really sorry to hear about 9 hole member John Miller’s wife passing away, our heartfelt thoughts go out to you and your family at this time.

Winner of the $50.00 was Allan Old and Russell Oliver.

The last of the Subscription Notices were posted out on Tuesday so everyone should have theirs by the weekend, if you have not received your one please let us know, otherwise we look forward to your payment before the 29th February.

Everyone that is playing this weekend I have set the Shootout up as $5.00 for Saturday and Sunday, you all know that every participant in the shootouts first payment is $5.00, last year there were a number of members that didn’t pay the $5.00, after the weekend I will get a printout of the members that have paid and will be eligible for the end of year event, if for any reason you are not playing this weekend and wish to enter let staff know they will add your name to the list when you pay the first $5.00, after the initial $5.00 it will be $1.00 each time entered.

We hosted the Seniors here on Wednesday, it was their second day of a two day Wellington Competition, I’m happy to inform you all that Allan Old won Division 1 and was awarded the Penfold Championship Cup along with his prizes, plus Dave Anderson won Division 2 and was award the Jim Hunter Cup along with his prizes, great to have our club members coming out champions out of a field of 100. – Congratulations to you both – you are AWESOME.

I heard that Dave Sully did the Tongairoa Crossing over the weekend, he was chatting away to someone else on the tramp and it happened to be Kevin Gill, they both managed to complete it in 7 hours. – Great Achievement!!!

We are trying to find out who has lockers 33 and 36, please let the office know.

The results of the first round of Mary Alward Interclub playing Judgeford at Judgeford was Te Marua 5 and Judgeford 7, – Awesome for an away game!!

Men’s A3 was a 10.5 to 4.5 loss against Otaki at Otaki. Player of the day was Topi Wirihana with a 4 & 2 win.

Men’s B1 played at Otaki against Otaki and Lost 11 – 4.

Men’s Division B3 came away with a convincing win against Trentham winning 12-3, winners of the day were Zane Wilkins, Lance Davies, Brian Cockburn, Mike Dearmer, Andrew Black, Brett Keno, Andrew Curry and Bruce Hay. The stand out performer of the day was Zane Wilkins who lead them out, with Lance at 2. Zane hit the best score of the day 76, a stunning effort in his first experience of Interclub Golf. Awesome guys, but there are tougher games to come so stay grounded, and practise heaps.

Our Te Marua Championship Grade played Shandon 2 on Saturday and lost 6 – 9. Not bad for an away game!!

Women’s Summer Eclectics results are 1st Audrey Messenger, runner-up Pat Sinding – Congratulation Ladies. Thanks to everyone who entered, don’t forget to enter the Weekend Eclectics, it’s only $2.00, payable in the shop for the whole year.
Women’s LGU – The first round for LGU is on Sunday, your nett, eclectics and putting are recorded each month for trophies at the end of the year. Don’t forget to count your putts each month. You can play LGU midweek as well as weekend. Opening Day for the Mid-Week Women is Wednesday at 9am for coffee/tea and a muffin in the Clubrooms. The competition following morning tea is LGU & Putts.

Women’s Vets are playing at Trentham on Thursday 11th February at 9.00am Shotgun start.

We have been given the opportunity to sell the 2016 Entertainment Books, the club get $12.00 for each book sold, so I thought I would see if there is any interest in ordering any, I have left a copy out for you to look at, please write down you name on the sheet, and let your friends know they can order them through Te Marua Golf.

We have the Rules of Golf Books available, please help yourself to one, which are on the desk by where you print your cards. Wellington Golf Referees Association is holding a course starting on Monday 22nd February, 21st March, 18th April, and 2nd May, costing $35.00 held at Shandon Golf Club, you can register now by completing the application form on the notice board, or email wgtngolfrefs@gmail.com ..

The James Maher Trays was held on Sunday 31st January which was a 4BBB Stableford pairs, and the clear winners were Mother and Son Gail and Nic Waight 54, runner-up was Peter Gallen and Claire Puntenney 50, and closely behind them were Lloyd Bonner & Mary Penrose 49, Bruce Aitken & Jo Aitken 48, Max Kinsey & Barry Kirkwood 46, Tom Hunter & Geoff Lippross 46, Clinton Codyre & Allan Old 45, Vance Plumridge & Iain MacDonald 45, Norm Muir & Mark Gill 45. Congratulation to you all.

Saturday – Waitangi Day we have the Hui Ngaparu Trophy for the men and the Lil Parkin Trophy for the women plus 1st day for Shootout Cards.

Wednesday MW Women.

Thursday MW Men visit Waikanae, Teams Twilight RD 3.

Friday course available all day.
