The BLOB

Aftenoon everyone, sunny but a bit of breeze up here today.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL.

My condolences go out to the Sherwin Family who recently lost a loved family member, also to a few members who are going through struggles of their own either being unwell or family members sick.  Please remember we are thinking about you.

Well I had an enjoyable few days away, loved watching the cricket plus the tennis.  Thank you Gail and Katy for doing my shifts you are AWESOME.

We have had many comments on how beautiful our course is, we all know it, but great to hear from other members, the green – keepers as usual do a wonderful job you are AWESOME TOO.

The Masters this year went along pretty smoothly, weather was beautiful and hot, for everyone who had their allocated jobs to do, you all so deserve a pat on the back, I didn’t hear one negative comment, everyone enjoyed the course, plus the organizing of the event, the prizes, prize giving itself and the meal – congratulations to you all – you too are AWESOME!!!!

Winners of the Master’s Raffles were $500 Travel Voucher Paul Henley, Stocked Bar Fridge Grant Larson, Outdoor Umbrella Les Solomona, $150.00 Cash were Grahame ad Maree Adams, Jeff Rigby, Eru Kaiawha,  Afa Lepaio, and Joe Cuthers, thank you everyone for your support, was great to see our club members have a win.

We have had a lot of new members join the club recently, please make yourself known to them, and I know you will make them feel welcome.  You can all appreciate how hard it is joining a new club not knowing anyone, if we are wanting to keep new members we have to go out of our way to make them part of our big happy FAMILY at Te Marua Golf Club.

Just an update on Di, her leg has been promoted to a Moon Boot, which has enabled her to get around a bit better on crutches, her leg will be assessed again and hopefully she will be fit to be back at work on the 15th February, Di is able to do more hours,  so things will be processed faster through the office with her working from home.  We all wish her a speedy (probably the wrong word) recovery.

Gina popped in the other day, her knee is almost better, so should be back at work in no time.

We all wish John Cooper all the best for a swift recovery after his terrible accident.

Winners of the $50.00 was Ray Randle and Ian Jepson.  Congratulations.

Has anyone got any Interclub shirts they are no longer using??.  We have plenty of spare small and medium. But for some reason the men to seem to be getting bigger so they urgently need XL and XXL. Please contact Dave Workman or just drop the into the office/shop.
